Description de Born to be a larve
Born to be a larve is the first volume in a series of four, which collects the pages that appeared on Gilles Roussel's blog, also known as Boulet, from the summer of 2004 to the following year. The artist's daily life is the central theme, with a tasty mixture of hilarious anecdotes and less successful situations. Boulet's artistic progression is visible, although the album remains primarily a collection.Critique de Born to be a larve
Although Boulet's adventure on his blog was a success, the transition to an album format for this first collection seems to be more difficult. The lack of coherence and the wide range of subjects covered make the overall book somewhat uneven. Nevertheless, the most successful anecdotes help to spend a nice relaxing moment. Boulet's drawing undoubtedly has a lot of potential, but perhaps we should wait until the next albums are more worked out for it to really come to fruition.7Note générale
