Mon rond point dans ta gueule Portraits de Gilets Jaunes is a graphic novel that highlights people like you and me, who wanted (and still want) to make a difference in favor of a better society. It brings nine people to the forefront of the narration, and although we may not agree with everything, this book has the merit of showcasing individuals who are committed to social justice. The simple artwork brings out all the emotions experienced by the author and the men and women she pays tribute to. Sandrine Kerion doesn't hide behind others and clearly endorses the GJ movement.

Critique de Portraits de Gilets Jaunes

A few months ago, at the same publisher, Sandrine Kerion portrayed herself in J'ai vu les soucoupes, which was successful in her story. However, Mon rond point dans ta gueule Portraits de Gilets Jaunes is a rather awkward graphic novel that fails to be a relevant critique of the movement. The title and subtitle lead us to hope for a manifesto, but this is not what we get. The demands are diluted in the testimonies of the nine individuals presented. Although the simplicity of the artwork highlights the different emotions expressed, we can only lament the lack of clarity and structure in this graphic novel, which could have been more incisive.
