After Tonto reveals his true origins and the identity of Tête-d'Acier to a furious Lothar, it is revealed that Aghora had neutralized Tête-d'Acier and sent him wandering through the galaxy without his memories. Tête-d'Acier regains his memories and demands his title back from the usurper Sans-Nom, who then enters into combat to prove his legitimacy and puts into question the perpetuity of the caste of the Meta-Barons. However, an even greater threat to the universe looms on the horizon.

Critique de Sans-Nom, le dernier Méta-Baron

The intergalactic family saga created by Jodorowski started off strong and was praised for its innovative approach to science fiction. Unfortunately, starting from the 6th volume, the series began to lose its momentum, and Sans-Nom, the Last Meta-Baron, is by far the weakest installment. Some plot elements, such as the questioning of Sans-Nom's status as a Meta-Baron, end up being disappointing, while others, like the 'hyperpoux', may seem ridiculous. Gimenez's art is still stunning, with subtle colors that hit the mark, but it's not enough to cover up the story's shortcomings. In short, it's a disappointing addition to a once-promising series. Sci-fi enthusiasts might want to avoid it and move on.
