Description de Les mouches
Andrew, Sako and Yasmine, three young criminology graduates, are assigned to investigate a series of gruesome murders that are being committed following Satanic rituals. All victims share the common attributes of virtue and piety, and their bodies are discovered either mutilated or with hundreds of flies inserted into their orifices. The signature of the enemy, Satan, is unmistakable. Etymologically, Beelzebub means "Lord of the Flies". However, Yasmine stumbles upon a discovery that links her family to the Satanic community. Are these massacres the work of an occult force?Critique de Les mouches
It is safe to say that The Enemy is yet another comic book series that revolves around ritualistic murders committed by deranged Satan worshippers. However, the originality of this new series lies not in its choice of topic but in its perfectly executed atmosphere. The overall mood of the story is dark, eerie and somewhat reminiscent of the movie Seven. The credit for this goes to the color palette chosen by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini and the pacing of the narrative by Alberto Pagliaro. The earthy or bloody tones are a great fit for Pagliaro's modern style. It is true that the story is riddled with clichés. The victims are all devout and the murders are particularly brutal. Furthermore, Yasmine is portrayed as a criminologist who is perhaps a little too sexy for her job to be credible. However, the plot is intriguing enough to keep the reader hooked, leaving them imagining themselves as Yasmine's partner.9Note générale
