Description de Chroniques de San Francisco T1
Mary Ann Singleton is a lost young woman who arrives in San Francisco to start a new life. She finds shelter in a boarding house where the owner, Madame Madrigal, takes care of her tenants. Mary Ann meets Mona, who has just lost her job, and Michael, who is looking for the man of his dreams. Madame Madrigal brings them together under her patronage, and Mary Ann must learn to face the ups and downs of life. Isabelle Bauthian, the screenwriter, delivers a brilliant adaptation of Armistead Maupin's 'Chronicles of San Francisco.' The graphic novel remains very pleasant to read, even though the art and colors are not yet at the level of great comics. Finally, the adaptation of the story for homosexuality in a still very closed society deserves recognition. This is a comic book not to be missed!Critique de Chroniques de San Francisco T1
Isabelle Bauthian has crafted a brilliant adaptation of Armistead Maupin's 'Chronicles of San Francisco.' Bauthian brilliantly draws inspiration from Maupin's novel while also adding her own style to it. Similarly, Sandrine Revel does an incredible job with the pen and brush. While the art and colors are not yet at the level of the greats of the comic book world, the work remains very pleasant to read. Finally, it is worth applauding the adaptation of the story of homosexuality in a still very closed society. This is a comic book not to be missed!12Note générale
