Description de Boy
Jack and Sammy, two gorilla bodyguards, are on the hunt for a client to avoid starvation. Boy, a young orphan, asks them to find his missing father. Sammy decides to help and begins his investigation while Jack must protect Professor Seward from Al Capone. In this 40th and final adventure of Sammy, writer Cauvin explores the prohibition era. The investigation is full of twists and humor, with familiar faces from the series. Despite a predictable plot, this comic book is a pleasant read featuring the duo of gorillas.Critique de Boy
This final adventure of Sammy, drawn by Jean-Pol after Berck's death, is a pleasant read filled with humor and nods to previous albums in the series. However, the plot is predictable and will not surprise the sharp-witted. The reasons for ending the series, mentioned in the introduction, may explain some weaknesses in the story. Nevertheless, the quality of the artwork and Raoul Cauvin's work are noteworthy. A nostalgic read recommended for fans of the series. The character development was done meticulously throughout the series, but this final adventure feels rushed at times. The humor, however, remains consistent with the rest of the series. The dual plotlines of Sammy's investigation and Jack's protection detail mesh together well, though their conclusions are somewhat predictable. The artwork is exceptional, with great attention to detail and facial expressions. The story occasionally dips into the cartoonish, but it is for the most part consistently realistic. Overall, this final installment in the Sammy series is a bittersweet nostalgia trip that will please fans of the series.9Note générale
