Description de Phase impériale 2/2

The Wicked + The Divine T6 Phase impériale 2/2 is a curious series that catches the eye and the reader thanks to its modern reinterpretation of mythology poured into techno-fiction. The series has visually impressive and well-crafted intrigue, with dialogues and references to mythology cleverly mixed to create an allegory of decadence and power. The story follows a group of young gods who are facing their own mortality as a 90-year cycle comes to an end. The group is fragmented after the homicidal revenge of Persephone against Ananke, the immortal goddess of destiny who killed many gods to prevent the arrival of dark forces. Baal, the god of lightning, tries to keep his group together, but the feline goddess of war, Sakhmet, falls into a murderous madness when she realizes that the Pantheon has lied to her. The young gods in perdition are rather charismatic and sultry, with bursts of violence and nihilism that continue to animate the story. The series is visually stunning, with colors that reinforce its visual quality. Although the dialogues are numerous, they contain excellent lines that draw the reader into the story, and the narrative is well constructed with ample action scenes.

Critique de Phase impériale 2/2

The Wicked + The Divine T6 Phase impériale 2/2 by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie is a visually stunning series with a modern reinterpretation of mythology that blends techno-fiction, intrigue, and allegory. The colors by Matthew Wilson on the flats by Dee Cunniffe enhance the visual quality of the series. Although the dialogues are numerous and sometimes convoluted, they contain excellent lines and well-crafted exchanges between the characters. The story is well-constructed with a cleverly crafted intrigue that keeps readers on edge. While the young gods in perdition can be rather sultry and nihilistic at times, their charisma and inner conflicts make them compelling characters. The series vacillates at times, but it still manages to pack a good punch. In general, this second volume of Phase Impériale is in phase with the series and offers an enjoyable and visually stunning reading experience.
