Description de Croire

The Boys is a popular comic book series that has been adapted into a television show. The twelfth volume in this series follows Butcher and his team as they fight against the Super-Slips who work for Vought-America. In this softcover edition, the Boys are in the middle of preparing, trying to maintain discretion, and the Super-Slips are plotting in secret. Meanwhile, Hughie's relationship with Annie is discovered by Butcher, who reveals her secret identity. The end of the story delivers a touching surprise. The artwork by Russ Braun is decent, but not quite up to the level of Darrick Robertson's previous volumes.

Critique de Croire

The twelfth volume in The Boys series provides a brief reprieve from the usual action-packed battles of the team, instead focusing on character development and story progression. The critique of organized religion and evangelicalism is still present, but the story leans less into provocative themes. While Russ Braun's artwork is adequate, it does not reach the same level of excellence as previous volumes. Despite this, the overall quality of the story and characters leaves readers eagerly anticipating the next installment.
