Star Wars Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi comic follows the Rebellion as they prepare to attack the Galactic Empire, who have just built a new Death Star. Meanwhile, the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 set off to deliver a message to the crime lord, and Han Solo is held captive by Jabba the Hutt. Leia comes to rescue Han but finds herself face-to-face with Jabba.Critique de Le retour du Jedi
This re-release of the comic adaptation of the sixth Star Wars movie is an official adaptation of George Lucas' original screenplay. The writer Archie Goodwin has done an excellent job of simplifying the story to make it more accessible and understandable in comic form. The art, by Al Williamson and Bill Sienkiewicz, is serviceable, although it may appear dated to modern readers. But in comparison to the previous comic adaptations, this is a vast improvement. However, the story does drag on at times, and at some points can feel a bit too slow-paced. Although, the characters are given more depth and for those who are nostalgic about the franchise will appreciate this comic adaptation. But if someone is a new reader or a person who has never seen the original movie, they might find the whole thing a bit outdated, and it may not be the best starting point for someone unfamiliar with the Star Wars franchise.9Note générale
