Description de L'aventurier (intégrale)
Slaine T3 L'aventurier is an integrated edition of three mini-stories that follows the Celtic hero Slaine in adventures filled with magic and mysticism. In these stories, Slaine must confront Cythian apparitions and creatures from beyond, not to mention the sorcery of the mage Ogma. Despite all this, Slaine manages to triumph over all his enemies thanks to his brute strength and devastating axe. The graphics by Clint Langley, which mix digital images and paintings wonderfully magnify Slaine's toughness.Critique de L'aventurier (intégrale)
Although the graphics are impressive thanks to Langley's fusion of digital images and painting, the story itself leaves much to be desired. The character of Slaine is portrayed as a brute without any real psychology, and the stories lack originality and depth. The pace of the stories is always the same, leaving little room for character development. Pat Mills fills the story with blood, giant weapons, and improbable monsters, but sacrifices the intelligence and epic scale of the earlier series' installments. It is, therefore, a comic book that will leave readers with a sense of unfinished business, especially those in search of more depth and substance.7Note générale
