Description de (intégrale)

Sheltered is a comic book series that tells the story of Victoria and her father who join a secluded camp named Refuge where individuals prepare for the end of the world by stocking up on food and weapons. Things take a dark turn when the teenagers eliminate their parents, and Lucas, one of the young adults, insists that it's necessary to do so to survive a predicted catastrophe. Victoria and her friend Hayley discover their loved ones' bodies and begin to question Lucas's reasoning for killing them. Sheltered gives readers a thrilling plot, dynamic characters, and high-quality storytelling. Spanning 15 issues compiled into a single volume by Akileos, this series is written by Ed Brisson who is also known for his work on Sons of Anarchy and 24, and illustrated by Johnnie Christmas who has a visually convincing contemporary style, although it may lack in terms of background detail.

Critique de (intégrale)

Sheltered, originally published in the USA by Image Comics, presents an intriguing storyline that provides a good dose of suspense. However, the graphic quality of the book may occasionally disappoint readers due to the lack of background detail. Nevertheless, the story is immersive due to the well-executed panel layouts and well-developed characters. The author's ability to maintain tension throughout the book is evident, culminating in a satisfying ending that answers all the questions put in place earlier. Overall, Sheltered is a highly recommended read for any thriller enthusiast.
