The New Mutants is a Marvel Comics series created by writer Chris Claremont in 1982. Danielle, one of the New Mutants, is haunted by the nightmare of a giant demon bear that she believes killed her parents. Meanwhile, Rachel Summers, a new mutant who has arrived from the future, is haunted by an era where the X-Men are all dead. Illyana Rasputin, who is already her teenage self, disturbs Rachel when she first sees her and Rachel runs away. Warlock, an extraterrestrial entity, exhausted from running away from his father Magus, landed on Earth. Danielle continues to train by staging her nightmare in the Danger Room, which worries Illyana. One night, Danielle senses that her nightmare is real and goes to the forest to fight the demon bear, but she ends up severely injured. Rhane, using their connection, brings the New Mutants to the scene of the incident to take Danielle to the hospital without realizing that the demon bear is following them. Critique de New Mutants

In 1982, Chris Claremont, one of the greatest storytellers in comics, took the reigns of the X-Men title and brought it to the pinnacle of superhero storytelling. Marvel Comics wanted to launch new titles and solicited their successful writer to create a new one. Thus, New Mutants was born, and the beginning of this series is now available in the Panini Comics Intégrale collection. The publisher is taking advantage of the impending release of The New Mutants movie (due in 2019) to publish the most mythical run of this series in its entirety in their prestige collection Marvel Icons.
