Description de Pseudo-sience
The Manhattan Projects is a science-fiction / alternate history comic book series published by Image Comics. It features a secret section of the US government working on the first atomic bomb during World War II, and dealing with unexpected situations, including attacks by robots from another dimension. The first volume of the series introduces a cast of characters with undeniable intelligence but fragile mental health, including Robert Oppenheimer, a genius pacifist with a dual personality. The story is ambitious, complex and effective, while the art by Nick Pitarra is finely crafted and aptly framed, with European influences.Critique de Pseudo-sience
The Manhattan Projects stands out as a true gem of comic book art that exceeds expectations. Jonathan Hickman's approach to reinterpreting the history of the United States provides an alternate history proposal full of suspense and technical precision. Although the main characters are well known, he manages to present them in a realistic and fictitious manner, thereby building their character. With Nick Pitarra's absolutely stunning art style complementing Hickman's writing, this work of science fiction and alternate history is a masterpiece of the genre and surpasses other current comics. Highly recommended for all comic book enthusiasts.15Note générale
