Fantastic Four by Mark Millar is a comic book series that tells the story of the Fantastic Four who try to travel back in time but end up in the Wild West. The script is rich in modern nods and references to other comic book series with a touch of science fiction. The sometimes too fast pace and the lack of convincing explanations harm the cohesion of the story. Despite this, some characters are superbly highlighted, notably an even more villainous Doctor Doom. Bryan Hitch's artwork perfectly valorizes Mark Millar's insane imagination.

Although the modernization of the Fantastic Four is commendable, the frenzied pace and surprising succession of adventures make the script difficult to access. Some scenes reminiscent of The X-Files give an impression of a lack of overall cohesion. However, the story subtly highlights the characters' personalities and offers us a beautiful psychedelic vision with stunning artwork.
