Description de L'hiver meurtrier (intégrale)

Captain America's faithful companion during his encounters with the Red Skull, Bucky James was long thought to be dead. He was actually found by the Russians who turned him into one of their secret weapons during the Cold War: the Winter Soldier. Today, Steve and Sharon Carter are certain that Bucky is alive and even on American soil. For Captain America, finding his former companion is a priority but Crossbones' actions may push back any possible reunion. Brock Rumlow has kidnapped Synthia Schmidt, a young woman who is none other than the daughter of the Red Skull. She was long interned and supervised by SHIELD to forget her horrible lineage. Crossbones plans to help her regain her memory and sow chaos with her wherever they go...

Critique de L'hiver meurtrier (intégrale)

One doesn't change a winning team. Marvel must have thought this when they saw the quality of Ed Brubaker's run on Captain America. With an approach that combines detective work and espionage, the writer takes pleasure in reinventing the adventures of Steve Rogers. From the first episodes, the tone is set and Brubaker even rewrites a large part of the super hero's mythology. That's how we learned that Bucky James is no longer dead and would even be the Winter Soldier, an assassin who worked for Russia. The murderous winter shows the Star-Spangled Banner tracking down his former companion and especially confronting the threats of Crossbones, Sin, Red Skull and even glimpses of Doctor Doom and Arnim Zola. There are many villains, therefore, for a story that is fast-paced and full of twists and turns. Ed Brubaker has a sense of serial storytelling that will not fail to convince epic saga enthusiasts. The drawings are provided by a talented group of artists such as Steve Epting, Mike Perkins, and Javier Pulido. A new high-quality collected edition for a series to be discovered absolutely!
